Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain the Android application.
- Help build and improve the underlying mobile platform.
- Solve product and engineering problems with a pragmatic approach.
- Contribute to product design and technical direction.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, business, and partner teams.
- Mentor or provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of mobile app development experience, including 2 or more years building and shipping production Android apps.
- At least 3 years of experience building consumer-facing mobile applications and working in a startup environment.
- Strong Kotlin skills and hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and MVVM or Clean Architecture.
- Proficiency with Protocol Buffers, gRPC, and integrating Firebase Authentication, Firestore or Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.
- Experience with Android unit, instrumentation, and UI testing, as well as mobile CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentorship or technical leadership experience guiding junior engineers.
- Strong academic background and experience with Android platform architecture are valued.
- Experience in data-intensive environments or distributed systems is useful.
Benefits
- Base salary of $160,000 to $200,000 annually.
