Base Salary

$157k - $266k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Apply control theory to design and verify mechatronic and robotic systems.
  • Bring up distributed electromechanical systems for experimentation.
  • Validate and iterate on simulated dynamic models through targeted experimentation.
  • Design experiments to analyze complex dependencies and key relationships.
  • Design software algorithms for new and existing products.
  • Develop software tools and infrastructure supporting algorithm analysis and development.
  • Perform comprehensive testing of algorithm quality and performance.
  • Facilitate mechanical, hardware, and software integration of new products.
  • Document and pursue intellectual property.

Requirements

  • C/C++ and MATLAB programming skills are required; Python knowledge is a plus.
  • Four or more years of industry experience are required.
  • Completion of or current enrollment in a doctorate-level Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics degree-seeking program is required.
  • Master’s-level graduates may be considered based on specific relevant experience.
  • Experience integrating complex electromechanical hardware and software systems.
  • Strong engineering judgment and software and hardware problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to model and rigorously analyze mechanical phenomena.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
