Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the infrastructure and platform for IONOS products and integrate new products and web services into Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
- Operate a stable and secure product platform and optimize containerized, Kubernetes-based application infrastructure.
- Provision and manage infrastructure declaratively and reproducibly using Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and ArgoCD.
- Analyze and resolve complex problems in distributed systems and continuously improve the platform.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.
Requirements
- Several years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a related role such as Linux System Administrator, Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Full Stack Developer in a Linux and Kubernetes environment.
- Very good knowledge of and several years of experience with Linux, container technologies, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions, and Helm Charts.
- Ability to develop confidently in at least one programming or scripting language such as Go, Python, or Bash for automation and monitoring tasks.
- Experience operating and troubleshooting highly available and distributed production environments, including monitoring, alerting, and log analysis; experience with operators is a potential additional qualification.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, independent working style and ability to systematically analyze and sustainably resolve complex technical problems.
- Good German and English language skills.
