Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop high-availability architecture recommendations and prototypes covering sizing, dependencies, networking, compute, storage, load balancing, capacity, and cost.
- Define reliability objectives, RTO/RPO targets, failover, backup, retention, restoration, disaster-recovery testing, and rollback strategies.
- Lead Everything as Code across infrastructure, configuration, security, governance policy, testing, and CI/CD deployment.
- Design AWS GovCloud resources and controls including EC2, S3, networking, routing, security groups, load balancers, IAM roles, logging, monitoring, and encryption.
- Establish source-control, peer-review, automated-testing, automated-deployment, configuration-management, and change-control standards.
- Lead security engineering involving PKI, SSO, LDAP, OCSP, certificates, RBAC, least privilege, Zero Trust, logging, and vulnerability remediation.
- Coordinate RMF/ATO and STIG compliance activities, including control mappings, system-security documentation, hardening evidence, POA&M inputs, retesting, and closure support.
- Guide MuleSoft API architecture, platform architecture, data integration, performance testing, interoperability, and operational readiness.
- Review technical designs, scripts, code, configurations, tests, diagrams, runbooks, and deployment packages for quality, security, and supportability.
- Establish monitoring for availability, performance, errors, capacity, cost, API metrics, and data quality using CloudWatch, Splunk, AppDynamics, MuleSoft, or comparable tools.
- Lead technical risk management, issue resolution, root-cause analysis, vendor coordination, sprint planning, milestone reviews, Government briefings, and stakeholder decision support.
- Deliver hands-on knowledge transfer to NAVSUP administrators and engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related technical field is preferred.
- At least 7 years of hands-on Informatica experience is required.
- At least 10 years of senior-level experience architecting enterprise platforms in AWS or AWS GovCloud from design through production operations is required.
- Experience with cloud computing, storage, networking, security groups, load balancing, IAM, encryption, monitoring, performance, capacity, and cost optimization is required.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code, Security or Policy as Code, automated testing, Git-based version control, and CI/CD pipelines is required.
- Experience designing high availability, backup, disaster recovery, RTO/RPO, failover, restoration testing, and rollback for production systems is required.
- Working knowledge of enterprise API, data integration, data governance, metadata, data quality, and relational data-warehouse architectures is required.
- Knowledge of RMF/ATO, STIGs, NIST 800-53 controls, system hardening, PKI, SSO, RBAC, logging, vulnerability remediation, and Zero Trust is required.
- Ability to lead a small multidisciplinary engineering team, resolve cross-platform issues, manage risk, maintain documentation, and work with Government stakeholders is required.
- U.S. citizenship, CAC eligibility, background-investigation eligibility, and applicable privileged-access, training, certification, and NDA requirements are required.
- Current DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II baseline certification is required at the start of performance: CompTIA Security+ CE or a listed substitute such as CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or CND.
- An applicable computing-environment certification in AWS, Windows, Oracle, UNIX, or Linux is required within six months.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS GovCloud and DevSecOps experience, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Security Specialty, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, Azure DevOps, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Enterprise Data Catalog, Axon, Data Quality, PowerCenter, CloudWatch, Splunk, AppDynamics, Navy data, WDP/Jupiter, Flank Speed, Microsoft Power Platform, logistics systems, or Government API-management experience.
Benefits
- The projected annualized compensation range is $170,000.00 to $210,000.00 USD.
- The role supports NAVSUP’s AWS GovCloud environment and includes knowledge transfer to Government personnel; privileged access requires U.S. citizenship, CAC eligibility, and a favorable qualifying investigation.
