Responsibilities

  • Own the DevOps and Platform roadmap, including Kubernetes platform evolution, application packaging, EKS migration, and reliable production delivery.
  • Lead, mentor, and set technical direction for DevOps engineers while remaining hands-on with infrastructure engineering and reviews.
  • Architect and operate multi-cluster, multi-region Kubernetes platforms using service meshes, policy controls, and workload placement.
  • Build GitOps, progressive delivery, automated provisioning, infrastructure testing, observability, disaster recovery, and compliance automation.
  • Define Zero Trust architecture with secrets management, service identity, least privilege, and mTLS-secured meshes.
  • Contribute to the Kong AI Gateway, including dataplane deployments, ACM/SSL integration, and observability.
  • Champion DevSecOps practices including SAST, DAST, chaos engineering, error budgets, and secure supply chains.
  • Collaborate with Security, Data, and AI teams on compliant DevOps and AI platform architectures.

Requirements

  • Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams while contributing hands-on and setting technical direction.
  • Strong Kubernetes experience covering cluster lifecycle management, API extensions, Operators, Helm, and the CNCF ecosystem.
  • Experience designing and operating multi-cluster, multi-region Kubernetes platforms with Istio, Consul, or Linkerd.
  • Experience with Terraform on AWS or GCP, modular Infrastructure-as-Code, GitOps integration, and automated testing with Terratest or InSpec.
  • Experience implementing GitOps pipelines with ArgoCD or FluxCD for progressive delivery, drift correction, and multi-environment releases.
  • Experience building containerized, serverless, or event-driven systems with observability using DataDog, Splunk, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience with Vault-based secrets management, least-privilege access, compliance automation, CI/CD security controls, SLOs, error budgets, and chaos engineering.
  • Working knowledge of LLM-based services and AI infrastructure, including deploying, securing, and operating AI gateways and services.
  • Nice-to-have experience includes platform modernization or reliability initiatives, Operator or CRD development, eBPF, Cilium, OPA, Kyverno, secure supply chains, MCP, A2A orchestration, agent gateways, confidential computing, Spark, Databricks, Data Mesh, Go, Python, TypeScript, or CNCF/open-source contributions.
