Responsibilities
- Own features from technical scoping through deployment and post-launch iteration.
- Design and extend schemas, APIs, and business logic for new product capabilities.
- Ship high-quality product code across the stack.
- Use user feedback, data, and product judgment to improve shipped features.
- Collaborate with ML researchers to make research services consumable for product development.
- Work with design, product, and engineering to determine what to build.
- Advocate for improvements to development, testing, and deployment practices.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience focused on product development.
- Experience building user-facing web applications across frontend, backend/API, and database layers.
- Ability to explain technical decisions clearly and proactively communicate context.
- Evidence of shipping, measuring, and iterating on features through their full lifecycle.
- Strong product engineering orientation and focus on user outcomes.
- Genuine curiosity about AI evaluation and Arena Intelligence’s mission.
- Familiarity with NextJS, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, ShadCN, HonoJS, Postgres, and Vitest is a bonus.
- Experience with Supabase or Vercel's AI SDK is a bonus.
- Experience determining what to build through user conversations or data without dedicated product management or design support is a bonus.
