Responsibilities
- Own features from technical scoping through deployment and post-launch iteration.
- Design and extend schemas, APIs, and business logic for new product capabilities.
- Ship high-quality product code across the stack.
- Incorporate real user feedback to improve shipped features.
- Work closely with ML researchers to transition research services to production.
- Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to determine what to build.
- Identify and advocate for improvements to development, testing, and deployment practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering focused on product development.
- Experience building user-facing web applications across frontend, backend/API, and database.
- Clear and concise communication skills for explaining technical decisions.
- Evidence of shipping and iterating on features, including post-launch analysis.
- A product engineering identity with a focus on user experience.
- Genuine curiosity about AI evaluation and Arena's mission.
