Responsibilities
- Build key components of the Risk Technology platform.
- Design, implement, test, and maintain risk analytics, data modeling, reporting, and management systems.
- Develop interactive dashboards, data visualizations, and reporting solutions.
- Build production applications using Java, Python, or a similar programming language.
- Develop cloud-based, loosely coupled, event-driven microservices using serverless technologies, preferably on AWS.
- Interface with senior Risk Management and firm-wide stakeholders to gather requirements and resolve issues.
- Coordinate requirements, schedules, and activities and contribute to team meetings and design discussions.
- Troubleshoot complex data-related issues and resolve production problems.
- Contribute industry best practices to the Risk Technology group and participate in incident reviews.
Requirements
- Expertise building interactive dashboards, data visualization, and reporting solutions.
- Proficiency in frontend technologies such as Angular, React, or similar.
- Deep expertise in Java, Python, or a similar programming language, with experience building production applications.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and large-scale data modeling, processing, and storage.
- Experience with modern columnar and relational databases such as Oracle, Snowflake, and AWS Redshift.
- Experience developing cloud-based, loosely coupled, event-driven microservices using serverless technologies, preferably on AWS.
- Knowledge of modern SDLC tooling, including Git, Bamboo, and Jira.
- Experience in risk analytics, market risk, or credit risk.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar technical discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal communication, written communication, time-management, and proactive follow-up skills.
