Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end from customer problem discovery and design through implementation, release, monitoring, and iteration.
- Build and scale backend services in Go for ingesting and modeling AI spend.
- Develop TypeScript and React interfaces that present cost and usage data clearly and reliably.
- Build API-first platform capabilities usable by both humans and agents.
- Understand AI spend, token and model pricing, inference and GPU economics, and FinOps workflows.
- Use AI tools throughout the engineering workflow for exploration, prototyping, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation.
- Set engineering standards through design reviews, guardrails, strong practices, mentoring, and technical direction.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including multi-tenant SaaS products and end-to-end production ownership.
- Strong Go experience building backend services, APIs, and data-processing systems.
- Strong TypeScript and modern React experience.
- Ability to work across the stack from data models through user interfaces.
- Experience with public cloud, preferably GCP, or AWS or Azure, and SQL against an analytical store such as BigQuery.
- Product-oriented judgment, strong software architecture and design knowledge, and comfort working in ambiguous environments.
- Existing experience using AI tools across the engineering workflow and ability to assess their strengths and limitations.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Self-organized, goal-oriented, self-motivated, confident, thorough, and tenacious.
- Knowledge of FinOps and FinOps products is preferred.
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- A portfolio demonstrating prior work is preferred.
