Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and production applications in C#/.NET.
- Build RESTful APIs that process IoT device data and user requests.
- Design distributed, serverless, and event-driven application architectures using AWS and Azure services.
- Design and maintain secure, scalable AWS and Azure cloud environments, including networking, storage, databases, and related resources.
- Write and maintain Pulumi code and reusable .NET or Python infrastructure modules for automated cloud provisioning.
- Develop and optimize real-time IoT data processing pipelines and event-driven workflows.
- Contribute to Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions pipelines for automated application and infrastructure deployments.
- Monitor cloud service performance, reliability, and costs, and troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with product, IoT, embedded systems, and data teams; participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
- Mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of significant professional backend development experience.
- Advanced C#/.NET experience building production backend applications.
- Experience designing REST APIs and distributed systems.
- Strong or working knowledge of Python.
- Hands-on AWS experience, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and IoT Core, plus familiarity with Azure, Functions, IoT Hub, and Event Grid.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Pulumi, Terraform, or an equivalent Infrastructure as Code tool.
- Experience designing event-driven architectures and processing IoT or time-series data.
- Understanding of cloud networking and IAM security best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Docker experience, AWS/Azure certifications, and IoT experience are assets.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, independent-working, and collaboration skills.
