Responsibilities
- Lead time-boxed, targeted customer engagements across Benelux and the Nordics.
- Own technical strategy, architecture discussions, whiteboarding, design reviews, and trade-off decisions with senior customer stakeholders.
- Design and demonstrate production-grade solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, real-time analytics, scalable pipelines, streaming, and lakehouse patterns.
- Build, debug, and demonstrate working solutions in Python and SQL.
- Drive Databricks platform adoption and technical wins in strategic and competitive opportunities.
- Transition engagement progress to core solutions architects, data and solutions architects, specialists, or partners.
- Share reusable engagement patterns, plays, and product feedback with the broader organization.
Requirements
- Typically approximately six or more years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role, or equivalent demonstrated depth.
- Hands-on coding ability in Python and SQL, including building, debugging, and live demonstration of solutions.
- Experience with distributed data systems, production cloud deployments, scalable pipelines, streaming, lakehouse patterns, and related infrastructure, security, and governance.
- Proficiency with the Databricks Platform or the ability to ramp quickly on new technologies.
- Ability to lead architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders, provide recommendations, analyze trade-offs, and translate technical architecture into business value.
- Comfort with ambiguity, time-boxed engagements, strong prioritization, adaptability, and a preference for varied high-impact work.
- Databricks Data Engineer, ML, or Platform certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS native services, and Azure Synapse is a plus.
- Experience in a data/AI company or cloud provider and depth in an industry vertical are beneficial.
