Responsibilities
- Develop secure, scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions from technical requirements and design artifacts.
- Program, test, implement, document, maintain, and support systems application software.
- Research and evaluate technical solution alternatives, perform feasibility and flow analyses, and assess cost and time requirements.
- Design and debug RESTful APIs and server-side API calls, including JSON and SOAP-based integrations.
- Conduct Java performance testing and benchmarking and contribute to software quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, matrix-based, and geographically distributed teams to meet deadlines and resolve emerging issues.
- Support software metrics reporting and improve engineering standards, processes, and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong experience developing scalable, multithreaded Java applications and applications using the Spring Framework.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON/SOAP-based APIs, Java performance testing, benchmarking, database design, and PL/SQL.
- Knowledge of cloud-native development with Pivotal Cloud Foundry and AWS, as well as UNIX and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of software engineering concepts, methodologies, programming best practices, and scalable application development.
- Ability to innovate, solve complex design problems, learn and deploy new technologies, make independent decisions, and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, organizational, relationship-building, initiative, and self-motivation skills.
