Responsibilities
- Develop developer productivity tooling using Java and Spring Boot microservices on Linux and OpenShift.
- Build APIs that integrate with systems across Citi using engineering best practices.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Advise Citi developers worldwide on onboarding and effective use of internal tools and platforms.
- Act as a subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and team members.
- Promote engineering excellence, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Demonstrated competency in Java development, including strong knowledge of core Java.
- Experience building applications with Spring Boot.
- Ability to write clean, testable code and use test-driven development practices.
- Experience with build tools such as Gradle.
- Comfort working with Linux and standard developer tools such as Git, BitBucket/GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
- Knowledge of build pipelines, CI/CD, and the pathway to production.
- Working knowledge of application containerization and deployment to cloud platforms such as OpenShift, AWS, or GCP is desirable.
- Experience with Docker or Podman is desirable.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle is desirable.
