Responsibilities

  • Develop and debug SoC boot flows across storage interfaces, bootloader stages, and Linux kernel initialization.
  • Support OEM/ODM board bring-up, Linux BSP integration, pre-production validation, and customer escalations.
  • Debug boot and runtime issues involving device trees, peripheral drivers, kernel modules, and platform drivers.
  • Develop and maintain U-Boot/ABL bootloader modules and Linux kernel drivers for storage, display, and power management.
  • Optimize Linux boot time and system stability using profiling and tracing tools.
  • Collaborate with customers, BIOS vendors, internal platform teams, and validation labs to resolve issues and commercialize products.
  • Prepare technical presentations, product documentation, application notes, FAQs, and customer-specific software customizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent higher-level degree alternative.
  • At least 5 years of embedded systems or Linux BSP/kernel development experience with hands-on board bring-up.
  • Proficiency in C programming, Linux kernel development, and the U-Boot framework.
  • Strong understanding of SoC architecture, Linux boot flows, and UFS and SPI NOR storage interfaces.
  • Experience validating SoC features under Linux and using kernel debugging techniques, JTAG, or serial consoles.
  • Experience with ARM64, ACPI, Device Tree, kgdb, ftrace, dmesg, or perf is preferred.
  • Experience with Yocto, OpenEmbedded, Android BSP build systems, ARM SystemReady, FWTS, dual-boot platforms, or BIOS vendors is preferred.
  • Customer-facing experience, leadership interaction, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and good English technical reading and writing skills are preferred.
