Base Salary

$138k - $185k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software and algorithms.
  • Build and support Java, Spring, Spring Batch, and microservices applications in a large corporate environment.
  • Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementation meets design constraints.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs.
  • Apply software development lifecycle automation and contribute reusable engineering practices to improve team effectiveness.
  • Analyze large and diverse data sets, create visualizations and reports, and use identified patterns to improve code quality and system architecture.
  • Develop and tune SQL database queries and support scalable solutions for Payments Technology.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Proficiency in Core Java and Spring frameworks, including Spring Batch and Spring Boot.
  • Experience developing microservices and Spring Batch applications.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code with modern programming languages and database query languages in a large corporate environment.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations, with the ability to guide peers.
  • Hands-on SQL database experience, including query development and code tuning.
  • Experience with IntelliJ or Eclipse, Maven, Bitbucket, GitHub Copilot, Gitflow, Spring Framework, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services or similar platforms.
  • Preferred: experience with a modern UI framework such as React.
  • Preferred: financial services or payments industry experience.
