Base Salary
$121k - $182k/yr
Responsibilities
- Gather, clarify, and document business requirements for the Regulatory Reporting Hub.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate with technology teams on implementation.
- Implement reconciliation processes for regulatory and financial data.
- Contribute to application design and architecture and recommend code and process improvements.
- Define testing strategies, manage User Acceptance Testing, and coordinate with business stakeholders and testing teams.
- Provide post-implementation support, resolve issues, and maintain application stability.
- Lead status review calls, maintain issue and action-item logs, and support steering committee reporting.
- Develop and enhance Java backend and JavaScript-based frontend applications.
- Guide and mentor junior team members in an agile delivery environment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience using Java, including expert-level Core Java, Spring, Web Services, and J2EE skills.
- At least 5 years of experience delivering enterprise-level Java development projects.
- Expert-level knowledge of Apache Spring, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, and Impala.
- Expert-level knowledge of JSON, XSD, RESTful web services, design patterns, and databases.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases, and operating systems.
- Experience developing high-performance, multithreaded applications and server-side integrations.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, AJAX, JSON, AngularJS, CSS, and Spring MVC for web applications.
- Experience with WebSphere, WASND, SVN, and Bitbucket.
- Banking operations experience, including trade-processing flows and their regulatory impacts, is preferred.
- Compliance, financial-sector, and regulatory business knowledge are advantageous.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel and Access and strong business analysis, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
