Responsibilities
- Analyze legacy applications and support modernization, migration, and transformation initiatives.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs and implement secure enterprise platform integrations.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools for code analysis, refactoring, documentation, test automation, and migration.
- Decompose monolithic applications into cloud-native microservices.
- Implement security practices using Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize application performance.
- Contribute to modernization roadmaps, migration strategies, and technical solution design.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Mentor junior team members when required.
Requirements
- 4 to 8 years of experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, including Java 8/11; Java 11/17+ is preferred.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Data JPA, REST API development, Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT.
- Experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, legacy application modernization, and code refactoring.
- Demonstrated experience with legacy modernization, application transformation, or monolith-to-microservices initiatives.
- Experience actively using one or more AI-powered engineering tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Amazon CodeWhisperer, Cursor AI, or equivalent solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and hands-on coding skills.
- Cloud modernization, container platforms, event-driven architecture, and DevOps experience are preferred.
