Responsibilities
- Design and build security controls across diverse layers such as cloud platforms and networks.
- Identify opportunities for security and privacy features and implement them in the codebase.
- Audit Tailscale infrastructure for security weaknesses and drive resolutions.
- Support engineering decisions with threat modeling and security analysis.
- Spend 25-50% of time writing software in addition to operational security tasks.
Requirements
- Expertise in the security of cloud platforms, especially multi-cloud networks.
- Familiarity with container security and orchestration security.
- Knowledge of internet/web security fundamentals like WAFs and TLS.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Go.
- Prior experience in infrastructure security or security operations.
- Knowledge of operating system internals and common networking protocols.
