Responsibilities
- Own backend and data services end-to-end, from design to production operation.
- Design and operate scalable data pipelines for high-volume security telemetry.
- Contribute to data modeling and architecture decisions for analytics and product features.
- Deliver projects across the tech stack, flexing between data engineering and backend work.
- Mentor other engineers on technical and design questions.
- Communicate technical solutions to leadership, aligning with business objectives.
- Identify and implement AI-powered tools to enhance development and system reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in backend and data engineering.
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript/Node.js, Python, and Go.
- Experience with production ETL/ELT and streaming data pipelines.
- Familiarity with data warehouse/lakehouse technologies.
- Expertise in database management and schema design.
- Experience with message- and event-driven architectures.
- Proficient in designing and consuming APIs.
- Commitment to data quality and observability.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of security best practices.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
