Base Salary
$100k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Scope, design, build, and deploy scalable and resilient distributed systems for underwriting automation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the software development lifecycle and participate in design sessions and code reviews.
- Develop API-first microservices and real-time APIs using GraphQL, gRPC, Java, Python, and Kafka.
- Build full-stack solutions spanning front-end, API, and back-end domain-service tiers.
- Use Java, C#, SQL, and NoSQL databases to develop business-focused systems.
- Deploy applications in hybrid cloud environments using Kubernetes and cloud-native tools and services.
- Design and deliver event-driven, messaging-based, highly resilient systems with low latency.
- Implement security protocols across services, including Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, and OAuth.
Requirements
- Four or more years of full-stack development experience with client-side and server-side frameworks.
- Four or more years of experience with architecture and design.
- Two or more years of experience with open-source frameworks.
- Two or more years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
- Fluency and specialization in .NET, Java, and at least one other modern language such as C#, Java, or Python, with object-oriented design expertise.
- Experience building full-stack applications and services using API-first engineering, service orchestration, event-driven architecture, federated GraphQL, and gRPC.
- Experience with schema evolution, versioning, and high-performance API-driven systems.
- Experience building large-scale SaaS systems, including knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos, Cassandra, Apache Trino, and other SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience architecting and designing new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Understanding of Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, and OAuth.
