Responsibilities
- Design and develop sovereign cloud observability services integrating the Grafana LGTM stack.
- Identify and implement open-source projects such as OpenTelemetry and Prometheus for collecting logs, metrics, and traces.
- Develop Kubernetes operators to automate cloud service lifecycles.
- Develop and maintain APIs for programmatic monitoring and alerting lifecycle management.
- Own the software development lifecycle in a “You Build It - You Run It” environment while bridging development and SRE.
- Perform root cause analyses using logs, tracing, and metrics, then implement sustainable fixes for bottlenecks and issues.
Requirements
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for software engineering, cloud-native observability, and SRE.
- Experience owning the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong experience with Go and Kubernetes; experience with Kubernetes operators is preferred.
- Experience with or willingness to learn the Grafana ecosystem.
- Understanding of observability requirements and effective service instrumentation in cloud environments.
- Interest in learning new technologies such as OpenTelemetry and sharing knowledge with the team and community.
- Ability to understand underlying observability data structures and optimize them for high-cardinality environments.
