Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and review software architectures.
- Develop software features in Java and Python using AWS services.
- Set and maintain a high bar for operational excellence.
- Build partnerships with technical stakeholders across Amazon.
- Perform system resilience testing and preparation.
- Plan software projects using Scrum.
- Configure AWS services and develop software features, libraries, and data pipelines.
- Conduct technical analysis and help shape team processes, outcomes, and goals.
- Support defensive security and security management through software and operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
