Base Salary

$168k - $262k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain foundational software services and interface software for Amazon Leo government customers.
  • Develop high-data-rate network-layer packet-processing systems using Software Defined Networking.
  • Create simulated test environments to demonstrate interface and architecture capabilities.
  • Solve complex technical problems for government satellite constellation applications as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Lead internal and vendor teams in developing and delivering software and interface requirements.
  • Ensure systems satisfy availability, reliability, upgradeability, interoperability, performance, and security requirements.
  • Communicate project health, risks, issues, results, and visualizations to stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Escalate urgent issues and drive them to timely resolution.

Requirements

  • At least five years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least five years of programming experience with one or more software programming languages.
  • At least five years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience mentoring, serving as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
  • Preferred: at least five years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to comply with U.S. government requirements.
