Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering of a proprietary Agentic AI-powered insurance core and multi-phase SaaS-replacement roadmap.
  • Build an agentic product and pricing engine supporting complex health insurance products, dynamic pricing, and real-time multi-variant quotations.
  • Develop agentic proposal and underwriting systems for automated data capture, document understanding, intent recognition, and medical and financial scrutiny.
  • Build policy issuance, premium accounting, real-time ledgering, GST compliance, receivables, and policy document generation capabilities.
  • Design safe, deterministic multi-agent pipelines across pricing, underwriting, and issuance.
  • Deliver native integrations with the National Health Claims Exchange, Bima Sugam, hospital networks, and relevant insurance protocols.
  • Design secure, highly auditable, traceable architectures for PHI/SPDI-sensitive financial operations.
  • Own full IP for the company’s proprietary insurance technology while collaborating with technology, architecture, and business leadership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of high-scale backend engineering experience.
  • 2+ years building or deploying production-grade AI agents.
  • Expertise with Vertex AI Agent Builder, LangGraph, or CrewAI and multi-agent orchestration.
  • Mastery of retrieval-augmented generation pipelines and experience fine-tuning Gemini models for clinical documents, regulatory adherence, and medical and financial reasoning.
  • Deep experience with GKE, BigQuery ML, and Apigee, including hospital-network APIs using HL7 FHIR.
  • Experience designing secure architectures handling PHI/SPDI with strong auditability and traceability.
  • Understanding of the Indian health insurance ecosystem, IRDAI requirements, and ABDM protocols.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 and ICD-11 medical coding frameworks.
  • Experience migrating from SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, Duck Creek, Guidewire, or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate as a builder in a high-intensity, Day-1, IP-first environment and favor proprietary systems over SaaS components.
