Base Salary
$128k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide independent technical quality oversight for software-intensive medical-device, digital health, AI/ML-enabled, and cloud-connected products.
- Partner with engineering teams on requirements, architecture, design, risk assessment, testability, reliability, maintainability, cybersecurity, and release readiness.
- Assess software lifecycle execution, traceability, verification strategies, configuration management, build and deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, SBOMs, and release governance.
- Evaluate and promote automated unit, integration, system, API, performance, and end-to-end testing.
- Participate in threat modeling, security risk assessments, vulnerability reviews, AI/ML validation, audits, CAPA investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Develop software quality metrics and provide technical mentorship on software quality and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in software engineering, software quality engineering, software test engineering, systems engineering, or related software development disciplines.
- Hands-on experience with software development, testing, automation engineering, DevOps, systems engineering, or product development environments.
- Ability to understand and evaluate production code, software architecture, technical designs, source code, pull requests, automation frameworks, and CI/CD workflows.
- Working knowledge of the complete SDLC and programming concepts, with experience assessing technologies such as C++, Python, C#, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with Git-based source control, software configuration management, CI/CD platforms, build systems, deployment pipelines, release management, and software traceability.
- Experience evaluating or developing automated testing solutions and knowledge of unit, integration, system, and performance testing methodologies.
