Base Salary
$100k - $500k/yr
Responsibilities
- Automate payout orchestration to eliminate manual processes.
- Build a real operational ledger that is immutable and auditable.
- Design settlement ingestion and reconciliation pipelines.
- Improve observability across payout, processor, and bank flows.
- Identify and eliminate recurring payment bugs at the root cause.
- Reduce manual treasury overhead and abstract processor dependencies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in building scalable backend systems, preferably in payments or fintech.
- 3+ years of backend/platform engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate with third-party payment gateways and banking APIs.
- Understanding of financial regulations, including PCI-DSS compliance.
- 3+ years of experience with transactional databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency in compiled languages such as Go, Rust, or C++.
- Experience with message queues or streaming platforms like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Proven ability to manage production systems under significant load.
