Responsibilities
- Design and document unified AD/ADAS logical architecture specifications with software and hardware engineers.
- Gather functional and non-functional requirements from suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Prioritize requirements and constraints and design logical architectures that meet stakeholder needs.
- Determine CPU and software component placement and develop scheduling strategies while accounting for hardware constraints.
- Design memory and other component budgets, measure processing load and memory usage, and plan countermeasures when budgets are exceeded.
- Create unified logical and physical AD/ADAS architecture strategies and development processes.
Requirements
- Require 4+ years of experience in embedded software and architecture design.
- Require experience defining requirements for automotive embedded software development.
- Require knowledge of multi-core SoC-based embedded systems with GPUs and hardware accelerators.
- Require knowledge of software platforms and middleware such as POSIX, RTOS, Ubuntu, ROS, and QNX.
- Prefer programming experience in C++, business-level Japanese, and conversational English communication ability with TOEIC 600 or higher.
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience developing AD/ADAS systems is preferred.
