Responsibilities
- Design and develop front-office e-trading applications for the Fixed Income trading business.
- Collaborate with traders, sales, quants, business users, and global product, support, and development teams.
- Enhance platform stability, flexibility, maintainability, scalability, and technical capabilities.
- Drive engineering standards and best practices across the development lifecycle.
- Improve automated testing efforts and optimize the User Acceptance Testing process.
- Troubleshoot challenging performance and scalability issues in large financial software systems.
- Provide third-line support during core trading hours and engage with users across APAC and Europe.
- Act as a subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and team members.
- Advise or coach new and junior analysts.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of programming experience with an object-oriented language, preferably Java, including multithreading concepts and relational databases.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and computer science fundamentals, including concurrency, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
- Preferred experience with Core Java, Spring, and Linux.
- Hands-on experience developing, optimizing, and tuning large financial trading systems for performance, reuse, scalability, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with ION Trading, Transficc, or other recognized connectivity vendors.
- Knowledge of fixed-income products such as government and corporate bonds, ETFs, and interest rate swaps, along with electronic trading flows.
- Experience with KDB and JSON/XML services.
- Experience with Agile development, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
- Experience working in globally distributed teams using Jira, Bitbucket, Sonar, and TeamCity.
- Familiarity with IntelliJ and Gradle.
- Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, analytical, problem-solving, and full software development lifecycle skills.
