Base Salary
$150k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and train AI models for perception, inspection, decision-making, and control in robotic manufacturing systems.
- Lead simulation-based tooling for reinforcement learning, synthetic data generation, and autonomous robotic cell setup.
- Own synthetic data generation pipelines using generative AI, 3D geometry, physics-based simulation, and image data.
- Develop and deploy multimodal inspection and health-monitoring systems using vision, 3D sensing, force/torque, and other sensors.
- Improve sim-to-real transfer so models trained in simulation operate robustly on physical robotic cells.
- Optimize, deploy, and maintain machine-learning models on production robotic systems while accounting for latency, reliability, and hardware constraints.
- Troubleshoot cross-disciplinary problems involving machine-learning models, simulation, robotics software, sensors, and hardware.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field, plus 5–8 years of experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python is required; working knowledge of Python and C++ in robotics systems is preferred.
- Deep expertise in machine learning and deep learning, including hands-on experience with PyTorch.
- Experience deploying and testing machine-learning models on physical robotic manipulators in real-world environments.
- Experience with robotics simulation environments or physics-based modeling, such as Isaac Lab or MuJoCo.
- Strong software engineering discipline, including clean, maintainable, well-tested, and performance-optimized code.
- Ability to diagnose ambiguous system-level problems and iterate under real-world constraints.
- Preferred experience with synthetic data generation, generative models, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, policy optimization, 3D data, robotics middleware, industrial automation, and multimodal sensing.
- Publication history or interest in applied robotics research venues such as ICRA, CoRL, RSS, IROS, RA-L, or T-RO is preferred.
