Base Salary

$77k - $129k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software engineers to produce and maintain documentation of conceptual topics and workflows.
  • Support a variety of user assistance materials, including help documentation, tutorials, and videos.
  • Manage documentation throughout the development cycle to meet software release requirements.
  • Contribute to a consistent user experience by aligning content with Esri's style.
  • Participate in product development to provide functionality feedback and usability testing.
  • Create and maintain a network with product management and marketing for consistent user experience.
  • Work with software engineers to envision, design, build, test, release, and support products.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a similar technical writing role.
  • Understanding of documentation workflows using HTML, XML (DITA), or Markdown.
  • Experience producing web-based documentation with a content management system.
  • Ability to learn and use software as a customer would to create user assistance materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex topics.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with IT observability/system monitoring software or ArcGIS software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, English, technical writing, or a related field.
