Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of POS terminal solutions across multiple platforms.
- Develop and maintain architectural documents and diagrams for POS terminal systems.
- Make architectural decisions involving payment technologies, EMV standards, hardware compatibility, and payment system integrations.
- Lead development of POS-related applications, including Android Native and related mobile applications.
- Optimize payment processing performance and security and ensure POS product stability and reliability.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce software engineering best practices across POS and related teams.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align solutions with market and business goals.
- Mentor engineers, improve developer productivity, and participate in hiring engineers with POS, mobile, and embedded expertise.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in POS terminal system design, architecture, and development.
- Strong expertise in Android Native development using Java or Kotlin and experience with Android-based POS terminal solutions.
- Experience with cross-platform mobile development such as Flutter; familiarity with C and JavaScript is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of EMV security protocols, chip-based transactions, encryption, and key management.
- Experience integrating POS hardware such as card readers, pin pads, printers, and other peripherals.
- Deep understanding of payment systems architecture and integrations with payment processors and gateways.
- Knowledge of software quality assurance principles and their application in financial systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, mentoring, and process-improvement abilities.
