Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, automate, and implement performance and resiliency test scenarios based on non-functional requirements.
- Maintain traceability across non-functional requirements, performance test scenarios, and defects, and track defects through closure.
- Review test scenarios, report results, supervise execution, and identify performance, resiliency, scalability, and coverage improvements.
- Contribute to delivery-pipeline adoption for performance testing and collaborate with development, architecture, and testing teams on environments and test data.
- Create reusable foundational test automation frameworks and support organization-wide quality-control and assurance practices.
- Analyze and tune performance across distributed platforms, including cloud, operating-system, container, and virtualized environments.
- Mentor team members on performance and resiliency test coverage, scenarios, and non-functional requirements.
- Align risk and control processes with daily responsibilities and escalate risks appropriately.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in performance engineering, including analysis, testing, and tuning.
- Experience with resiliency and chaos engineering and expertise with load-testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Experience with Snowflake components and optimization and AWS services including Kinesis, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for testing using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Expertise analyzing distributed platforms across Linux, Windows, AWS, containers, and VMware, using tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, CloudWatch, and TeamQuest.
- Experience with statistical and analytical modeling, descriptive statistics, graphical analysis, time-series analysis, forecasting, performance metrics modeling, and queuing or simulation models.
- Experience with scripting using Perl, Unix shell, Python, Terraform, Chef, or Jenkins.
- Experience with JMS/IBM MQ, JSON, XML, relational databases, and preferably Oracle.
- Strong Microsoft Office, Excel statistical-function, and PowerPoint presentation skills.
- Experience working with Agile teams, preferably Scrum; financial-services industry experience is preferred.
