Responsibilities
- Design, adapt, and integrate POSIX-compliant systems for robotics and machine learning applications.
- Develop the framework for integrating controls and machine learning with real-time tasks.
- Collaborate with Controls and Machine Learning engineers to optimize autonomous systems.
- Develop and maintain drivers for real-time robotic middleware integration.
- Build tools to monitor and optimize system performance for reliability.
- Contribute to a deterministic build and test environment for development efficiency.
- Support compliance with functional safety standards and audit readiness.
- Develop solutions for over-the-air updates and software deployment strategies.
- Address complex challenges with a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- MS in computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Production experience with Linux PREEMPT_RT and similar operating systems.
- Strong understanding of Linux device trees, scheduling, and memory management.
- Experience with multicore ARM SoCs and interprocess communications.
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
- Experience with ROS 2 middleware and alternatives.
- Familiarity with container technologies and runtimes.
- Understanding of toolchains including compilers and debuggers.
- Self-starter with problem identification and solution execution skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
