Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the enterprise reference architecture for generative and agentic AI.
- Prototype working AI systems, proofs of concept, and demonstrations hands-on.
- Create reusable frameworks, blueprints, and paved-road patterns for engineering and product teams.
- Lead solutioning from proof of concept through production and define scaling roadmaps.
- Establish shared AI platform and enablement capabilities, including model serving, vector and graph retrieval, tool and agent orchestration, observability, and evaluation.
- Embed traceability, human-in-the-loop controls, evaluation, governance, and tenant isolation into architectures.
- Own build-versus-buy decisions, set technical standards, conduct architecture reviews, and mentor engineers.
- Communicate technical trade-offs to leadership, clients, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software or AI engineering experience.
- Production-proven delivery of agentic, generative, and classical ML/DL systems beyond proof-of-concept work.
- Hands-on experience with orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph and Dapr Agents, MCP, A2A, RAG, GraphRAG, vector and graph databases, model serving, and LLMOps.
- Practical experience with model evaluation and guardrails.
- Ability to select appropriate approaches across classical ML/DL, generative AI, and agentic AI.
- Cloud and data-platform experience with AWS, Azure, or Databricks, plus familiarity with semantic layers and lakehouse architectures.
- Experience owning end-to-end architecture and setting standards across an organization.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including with senior leadership, and a track record of mentoring.
- Preferred: regulated-industry experience in life sciences, pharma, or healthcare and familiarity with GxP, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, ALCOA+, the EU AI Act, or HIPAA.
- Preferred: knowledge graphs, semantic layers, ontologies, multi-tenant SaaS or customer-deployed systems, and public contributions on generative or agentic AI architecture.
