Responsibilities
- Resolve customer problems with Petroleum Supply Chain software through telephone and web support.
- Deploy Unified Solutions including AUP, AUS, and Workflow tools.
- Deliver customer training and develop Unified Solutions training materials and curriculum.
- Provide customer-specific reviews, health checks, guidance, and product-value recommendations.
- Drive improvements to Unified Solutions software and relay customer feedback to R&D.
- Serve as a focal point for problem escalation and resolution.
- Author white papers and solution articles for the support knowledge base.
- Test prerelease versions of AspenTech software.
- Travel to customer sites as required, usually 30–40%.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of overall experience in the process industries, including oil refineries.
- At least 2 years of experience implementing and deploying Aspen Unified Solutions such as PIMS AO, AUP, AUS, or AURA.
- Completion of at least one full Petroleum Supply Chain project lifecycle from design through implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, Petroleum, or Petrochemicals Engineering.
- Experience with Aspen PIMS, AO Technology, Aspen Petroleum Scheduler, and Aspen Unified Solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting experience in IT and network environments for application configuration and setup.
- Experience with refinery economics and crude evaluation methodology.
- Knowledge of refinery scheduling, blending, and margin optimization.
- Teaching or training-delivery experience is an advantage.
- Excellent English communication and writing skills, interpersonal skills, and customer-relationship abilities.
- A master’s degree or higher is advantageous.
