Responsibilities
- Design and develop new Danim backend endpoints and maintain the partner API contract through documentation, versioning, and testing.
- Maintain the DPE and DVF data imports and pipelines, correct data and processing anomalies, and adapt processing to changing open-data formats, schemas, and volumes.
- Optimize PostgreSQL and PostGIS queries and indexes and ensure consistency between data sources.
- Fix security vulnerabilities, update dependencies, resolve bugs, refactor the codebase, and reduce technical debt.
- Maintain and improve GitLab CI pipelines and tests and provide level-three support for production incidents.
- Document the platform architecture, data flows, module dependencies, database models, deployment procedures, restoration procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Build knowledge transfer through pair programming, code reviews, incident pairing, and architecture simplification initiatives.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in backend development or data science.
- Strong Kotlin skills and good knowledge of PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
- Experience designing REST APIs and processing large data volumes.
- Experience with data ingestion, cleaning, and transformation pipelines.
- Knowledge of Docker, GitLab CI, and security best practices.
- Python, TypeScript, Node.js, or Flutter experience is a plus.
- Experience with geospatial or real-estate data is appreciated.
- Ability to work rigorously and independently and to take over and improve an existing codebase.
