Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end solution architecture, target architecture, roadmaps, and alignment with enterprise architecture and business strategy.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable application, data, integration, and security designs.
- Lead architecture decisions, design reviews, architecture governance, and Design Authority processes.
- Design and govern API, middleware, file-based, messaging, and event-driven integrations.
- Define platform strategies covering high availability, disaster recovery, performance, capacity, upgrades, and Azure/AWS readiness.
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for third-level support and major incidents, leading root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.
- Govern system updates, patches, enhancements, security controls, access management, GDPR compliance, and other regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to HR application architecture involving SAP SuccessFactors, integrations, and OpenText content-management solutions.
- Advise IT leadership, business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and vendors on technology choices, risks, and trade-offs.
- Mentor consultants and developers and maintain architecture documentation, engineering practices, and knowledge materials.
Requirements
- 12+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 6+ years designing and architecting enterprise applications and solutions and at least 3+ years in an architect or technical lead role.
- Experience in solution and enterprise architecture across application, data, integration, and security domains, with implementations led from design through go-live.
- Strong knowledge of integration architecture and patterns, including REST/SOAP APIs, messaging, event-driven and file-based interfaces, middleware, and API management.
- Knowledge of security architecture, high availability, disaster recovery, performance, database design, and Windows Server/Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience with Azure/AWS and planning enterprise-platform migrations, upgrades, and modernization.
- Experience producing architecture artifacts such as arc42, ADRs, and solution designs within governance and design-authority processes.
- Working knowledge of ITSM frameworks; ITIL certification is a major plus, with experience using ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy.
- SAP SuccessFactors architecture and configuration experience, especially Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Learning, MDF, business rules, and role-based permissions, is desirable.
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite/CPI or comparable middleware, SuccessFactors OData/SOAP/REST APIs, SFTP, and event-driven HR integrations is desirable.
- Experience with OpenText Content Server, Extended ECM, Extended ECM for SAP SuccessFactors integration, Archive Center, OTDS, and Records Management is desirable.
- Knowledge of SAP HCM, payroll, time management, and identity/access integration is desirable.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
- TOGAF, SAP SuccessFactors, and OpenText certifications are advantageous.
- Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder-management, influencing, and mentoring skills; exposure to AI tools is a value-add.
