Responsibilities
- Establish, configure, and maintain customer-specific lab environments.
- Install and configure POS, self-checkout, retail applications, hardware, and peripherals.
- Manage software deployments, upgrades, patches, operating systems, databases, application services, and network connectivity.
- Integrate retail applications with external systems, payment terminals, peripherals, and third-party services.
- Perform functional, system integration, regression, and end-to-end testing, including defect investigation and root-cause analysis.
- Support customers through workshops, technical discussions, troubleshooting, demonstrations, acceptance testing, and technical handovers.
- Support pilot deployments and operational readiness, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and technical runbooks.
- Develop PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripts and utilities for installation, configuration, testing, and deployment automation.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in technical implementation, systems integration, software deployment, technical engineering, or customer-facing solution delivery.
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration, SQL databases, TCP/IP, DNS, scripting, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps pipelines.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, and technical documentation.
- Good understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Retail technology experience, particularly POS/SCO and payment or peripheral systems, is preferred.
- Strong English communication skills are required; Cantonese proficiency is advantageous for customer engagement in Hong Kong.
