Base Salary
$145k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement new product features and maintain existing code according to requirements and professional development standards.
- Design and develop Java application components and new back-end services.
- Work through all phases of the software development lifecycle with developers, product managers, and QA engineers.
- Perform unit, system, and integration testing and support applications after deployment.
- Optimize and troubleshoot Java applications, databases, and application servers.
- Contribute to product-suite direction, feature development, bug fixes, and usability solutions.
- Work with message queues, event sourcing, NoSQL data stores, Linux or Unix scripting, Oracle, and relational databases.
- Perform database installation, administration, and performance tuning.
- Promote agile development principles and collaborate across teams.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of related experience in a commercial software development role.
- BS or MS in Computer Science.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills.
- Hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, XML, SOAP, and SQL.
- Experience with Linux and shell or other Unix scripting languages, Oracle, relational databases, application servers, and database performance tuning.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle and Agile development processes.
- Experience with CI, CD, and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Healthcare application experience is preferred.
- Experience with IntelliJ, JUnit or JunitPerf, WebLogic, and SOAP web services is preferred.
