Responsibilities

Design, maintain, and evolve scalable and resilient backend architectures using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop RESTful APIs and web services with Spring Web.
Design, model, and optimize relational and non-relational databases using Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and Spring Data MongoDB.
Implement microservices with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
Maintain, refactor, and modernize legacy Java applications while ensuring stability, security, and integration with new solutions.
Analyze and resolve incidents in critical production environments.
Implement data protection and application security measures with Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT, and RBAC.
Develop automated testing strategies using JUnit, Mockito, and Spring Boot Test.
Support code quality through code reviews and Clean Code and SOLID practices.
Contribute to technical planning, project estimation, architecture decisions, technical documentation, and modernization strategies.
Collaborate with frontend, architecture, security, QA, and operations teams.
Contribute to DevOps automation, cloud deployments, vulnerability remediation, and regulatory compliance.

At least 5 years of backend development experience with Java.
Demonstrable experience with microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
Previous experience in the financial or banking sector.
Strong Java and Spring ecosystem experience, including Spring Boot, Spring Web, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring Cloud, and Spring Batch.
Experience with legacy Java/Spring systems and their modernization or integration with modern architectures.
Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, Hibernate, and JPA.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure or GCP, and cloud services such as ECS, EKS, or App Service.
Experience with Git, CI/CD automation, build and deployment processes, and Maven and/or Gradle.
Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, RBAC, secure coding, SAST/DAST, and vulnerability remediation.
Experience with Apache Kafka, JUnit, Mockito, Spring Boot Test, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
Knowledge of Hexagonal, CQRS, and layered architecture patterns.
Experience working in agile environments and handling production incidents.
