Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of large-scale digital engineering programs from pre-planning through implementation across AWS, Akamai, and other cloud platforms.
- Own design decisions, chair design reviews, establish reusable engineering patterns, and conduct code reviews for microservices architectures.
- Develop and maintain Angular applications and Java Spring Boot services, writing secure, stable, testable, and maintainable code.
- Define engineering metrics covering design reviews, code reviews, CI/CD adoption, and pattern implementation.
- Create Jenkins jobs, integrate work into CI/CD pipelines, and automate testing and shift-left quality practices.
- Develop, execute, and maintain BDD automated and manual scripts, test results, traceability, and defect reporting.
- Participate in development, integration, end-to-end, unit, API, performance, and accessibility testing.
- Mentor and coach software engineers, lead resources, and promote engineering best practices across teams.
- Translate technical and business risks into guidance for senior stakeholders and resolve blockers across agile and waterfall programs.
- Analyze application issues and performance concerns, triage defects, coordinate fixes, and implement continuous improvements.
- Validate responsive web design and ADA accessibility using screen readers and accessibility scanning tools.
- Maintain feature documentation and end-to-end subject matter expertise across digital, downstream, and external partner flows.
Requirements
- 13+ years of relevant experience in application development or senior-level enterprise architecture experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Angular frameworks and Java API design and development.
- Expertise with AWS, PCF, Akamai, distributed systems, networking, algorithms, and data structures.
- Experience leading resources, serving as a functional subject matter expert, and driving broader technology adoption.
- Knowledge of code quality automation, code performance, unit testing, build processing, and CI/CD environments.
- Experience with testing, defect management, accessibility validation, and software development lifecycle controls.
- Bachelor’s or university degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- Ability to use AI tools for code generation, refactoring, debugging, unit tests, API scaffolding, Angular components, and Spring Boot boilerplate.
