Responsibilities
- Develop, code, enhance, and test custom software components across systems and applications.
- Build Python automation frameworks and scripts for capital markets operations.
- Perform automated testing, debugging, and troubleshooting in Unix environments.
- Work with Jira and CI/CD pipelines to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions.
- Support operational excellence, system reliability, and critical incident resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones and explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide EMEA shift coverage through 10 PM IST, with rare extended hours for incidents or deadlines.
- Document systems and share technical knowledge.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of professional experience.
- Six to eight years of experience in Python development and Unix automation.
- Expert-level Python proficiency with automation frameworks and scripting.
- Experience with automated testing, automation tools, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Basic understanding of capital markets, including trading systems, market data, and financial instruments.
- Previous exposure to financial services or capital markets environments.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and knowledge-sharing skills.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to fast-paced mission-critical environments, and cover extended hours when needed.
- 15 years of full-time education.
