
Senior Deployment Strategist - Cloud & AI

Responsibilities
- Partner with CTOs, infrastructure and engineering executives, and AI platform leaders to scope concrete, time-boxed deployment engagements.
- Lead technical discovery, architecture reviews, problem solving, and deployment roadmaps for cloud and AI optimization.
- Work alongside customer engineers on infrastructure and AI optimization, owning architecture decisions, guardrails, policy layers, and pipeline integration.
- Navigate customer ticketing, change-management, approval, security, and compliance workflows to move changes into production.
- Define adoption and impact metrics, own executive communication, and carry engagements through production handoff and measurable outcomes.
- Design proofs of concept, success criteria, and production graduation paths while identifying expansion opportunities with the account team.
- Convert field learnings into reusable playbooks and provide technically specific product feedback to influence the roadmap.
Requirements
- 10+ years of technical infrastructure, engineering, architecture, or technical delivery experience.
- Meaningful public-cloud experience and deep expertise in at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- A genuine software engineering foundation with meaningful responsibility for production systems.
- Enterprise-scale architecture experience involving areas such as multi-account or multi-region environments, high availability, scalable systems, networking, security, governance, and compliance.
- Strong production depth in at least two of GPU and accelerator infrastructure, inference optimization and economics, or agentic and LLM architectures.
- Working knowledge of enterprise AI platforms such as Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, and relevant neocloud offerings.
- Demonstrated external customer-facing experience in consulting, professional services, solutions architecture, forward-deployed engineering, deployment strategy, or comparable technical delivery.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both executive sponsors and deeply technical customer engineers.
- Demonstrated use of AI in daily engineering, architecture, and consulting work, along with production systems ownership and strong independent execution.
- Helpful qualifications include deep operational Kubernetes expertise, FinOps experience or certifications, practice-building experience, regulated-industry experience, datacenter or hybrid-estate experience, Terraform and policy-as-code experience, and public speaking or technical writing.
