Base Salary
$100k - $120k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain DevSecOps pipelines with CI/CD, continuous monitoring, automated security testing, SAST, DAST, SCA, and compliance checks.
- Automate security operations and workflows using Python, Bash, or Go, including SOAR-style incident response, threat detection, guardrails, and auto-remediation.
- Design secure AWS architectures and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Build and secure containerized workloads on ECS and EKS, including automated container vulnerability management.
- Deploy and manage AWS WAF, AWS Network Firewall, Security Groups, NACLs, virtualized Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Check Point NGFWs, IDS/IPS, F5 BigIP, VPN, DNS, and SFTP services.
- Manage AWS cloud services, infrastructure provisioning, patching, lifecycle management, monitoring, performance, availability, and security assessments.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, implement durable remediation, and maintain technical documentation and security procedures.
- Implement least-privilege access, IAM and SSO integrations, permission audits, cloud security posture monitoring, and compliance automation.
Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field from an ABET-accredited program.
- Seven or more years of IT professional experience, including at least three years specifically in AWS Cloud Security, DevOps, or DevSecOps.
- Current Security+ certification.
- Hands-on experience with AWS firewalls, next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS, and advanced network security.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go and strong knowledge of AWS core services.
- Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience developing security guardrails, auto-remediation, or security tooling.
- Experience overseeing hybrid software, web, and hardware products through specification, rollout, and maintenance.
- Experience integrating network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices through specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
- Preferred experience with SOAR platforms, Lambda/Step Functions auto-remediation, AWS Security Specialty or AWS DevOps Professional certification, Kubernetes/EKS security, container registries, and automated compliance.
