Base Salary
$150k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the C++ endpoint agent that detects, installs, validates, and rolls back OS and third-party application patches.
- Build system-level functionality using platform APIs across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Review code for correctness, maintainability, and architectural health.
- Mentor and guide senior and mid-level engineers.
- Identify process gaps, propose improvements, and drive implementation to completion.
- Collaborate with mainline, catalog, and patching teams on shared ownership and integration points.
- Translate roadmap priorities and customer needs into sound technical designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of C++ development experience.
- Experience with modern C++17 or later.
- Experience with cross-platform development across Windows, macOS, and Linux, including Win32 API and POSIX.
- Experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers.
- Experience with SQLite and embedded database patterns.
- Experience with CMake.
- Qt and Vcpkg experience are a strong plus.
- Knowledge of large-scale datastore bottlenecks, asynchronous application design, and client-server architecture is helpful.
