Responsibilities
- Contribute to all phases of software development from concept and design through implementation, testing, launch, and landing.
- Develop, test, and maintain business logic for CIDR allocation algorithms, overlap detection, and prefix reservations.
- Write unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end validations to prevent regressions and IP collisions across peered VPC topologies.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and learn incident response, mitigation protocols, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
- At least 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including IPv4/IPv6 addressing, CIDR notation, and subnetting.
- Familiarity with distributed systems concepts including RPC frameworks, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, microservice architectures, data consistency models, and multithreading/concurrency.
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms and virtual networking concepts.
- Excellent communication and people-management skills for collaboration with cross-functional partners.
