Responsibilities

  • Lead the solution and technical architecture for a major Oceania agentic AI initiative from solutioning through delivery.
  • Define target-state architecture covering agent orchestration, tool and skill integration, knowledge retrieval, workflow automation, telemetry, security, and operations.
  • Document architecture decisions, patterns, assumptions, risks, constraints, trade-offs, blueprints, dependency maps, and implementation guardrails.
  • Assess AET, Azure, integration services, data access, knowledge retrieval, telemetry, and operational capabilities, escalating platform gaps appropriately.
  • Drive rapid proofs of concept and architecture validation for trial balance cleansing, mapping, review agents, and related automation use cases.
  • Establish reusable AI architecture, deployment, governance, quality, evaluation, safety, grounding, observability, and cost-management practices.
  • Ensure secure enterprise data and knowledge access through appropriate identity, authorization, privacy, sovereignty, lineage, audit, and information-protection controls.
  • Partner with product, engineering, data, security, risk, operations, and regional teams to produce implementation-ready designs.
  • Provide hands-on architectural guidance during design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and production readiness.
  • Lead architecture reviews, communicate complex technical decisions to stakeholders, mentor technical leads, and identify delivery and operational risks.

Requirements

  • Working and architectural knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud architecture across applications, integration, identity, networking, security, monitoring, and production operations.
  • Knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI model consumption, prompt engineering, model governance, evaluation, and cost-aware usage.
  • Experience with generative AI and agentic architecture patterns including orchestration, tool calling, workflows, memory, planning, human-in-the-loop controls, and deterministic fallbacks.
  • Knowledge of Retrieval Augmented Generation, document ingestion, chunking, metadata enrichment, vector indexing, hybrid search, grounding, citations, and retrieval-quality evaluation.
  • Knowledge of AI evaluation and quality practices including prompt and model evaluation, RAG assessment, hallucination testing, safety testing, regression testing, and feedback loops.
  • Knowledge of enterprise integration, REST APIs, event-driven integration, workflow integration, API management, authentication, and legacy-platform integration.
  • Knowledge of secure AI and data architecture, including IAM, RBAC/ABAC, private networking, encryption, secrets management, privacy, auditability, and information protection.
  • Knowledge of observability, data and knowledge architecture, distributed applications, reusable APIs, cloud-native deployment, DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and secure release pipelines.
  • Preferred experience with AET, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Beehive, TRACE, OneSource, Microsoft Agent Framework, Azure AI Search, vector databases, and enterprise document intelligence.
  • Preferred experience with Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Container Apps, AKS, App Service, Key Vault, Application Insights, and Azure Monitor.
  • Financial, tax, compliance, or trial-balance process knowledge and experience working across globally distributed product, engineering, architecture, regional, and country teams.
