Responsibilities
- Lead a major AI solution or technical workstream through design, build, verification, release, and operation.
- Set solution-level architecture, engineering standards, contracts, boundaries, and acceptance criteria.
- Guide AI-powered full-stack engineering across software, data, AI, integration, and user experience.
- Design and implement APIs, events, data flows, service boundaries, identity, state, audit, and failure recovery.
- Build security, privacy, Responsible AI, resilience, observability, rollback, and recovery into solutions.
- Lead technical reviews, resolve cross-cutting risks, make service-wide escalations, and mentor engineers.
- Own technical direction within service-wide guidance from the Chief Engineer and support production decisions.
Requirements
- Expert hands-on full-stack engineering experience across architecture, software, data, AI, integration, testing, and operations.
- Strong experience designing APIs, events, data flows, service boundaries, identity, state, audit, and failure recovery.
- Strong AI service engineering experience with ML, LLMs, RAG, agents, evaluation, tool controls, monitoring, and safe fallback.
- Experience with secure delivery, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, resilience, and production support.
- Expertise in governance-by-design, including traceability, evidence, privacy, human approval, and control-aware delivery.
- Demonstrated technical leadership through decision-making, mentoring, design review, code review, and reusable patterns.
- Complex financial-services domain experience and previous people-leadership experience are highly regarded.
- Sound judgment about when AI adds value and when a simpler solution is safer or more effective.
