Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate .NET and Python microservices and REST APIs with OpenAPI specifications and Kong gateway integration.
- Scale the Risk AI Platform from MVP to enterprise-grade capability through architectural refactoring, modularization, performance tuning, and reliability improvements.
- Write production code, conduct peer reviews, define engineering standards, and provide technical guidance to Staff and Senior engineers.
- Establish CI/CD, GitOps, automated testing, and progressive delivery golden paths using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
- Implement observability and operability with Grafana, Prometheus, PagerDuty, SLOs, SLIs, and production readiness reviews.
- Build and extend multi-agent architectures, conversational AI workflows, and Rules-as-Code frameworks for risk assessment.
- Apply LLM APIs, agent frameworks, planning and optimization patterns, and interoperability practices across the Risk AI ecosystem.
- Partner with Product Owners, Data Scientists, Risk Technology, and platform teams to plan increments and deliver risk operations outcomes.
- Champion secure coding, secrets management, identity and access controls, encryption, and compliance with technology-control and privacy processes.
- Consume producer-led data products and event streams such as S3/Iceberg and Kafka without tightly coupling platform services to storage layers.
Requirements
- Deep software engineering expertise in .NET and/or Python, with experience building and operating production microservices and APIs at scale.
- Experience with FastAPI and REST/OpenAPI contract design is highly valued.
- Experience with AI and agentic engineering, including agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LLM gateway or proxy patterns such as LiteLLM, prompt engineering, and AI evaluation or observability tools such as Langfuse and HoneyHive.
- Experience with React, Next.js, and Node.js for production user interfaces and backend-for-frontend layers.
- Strong hands-on AWS experience, including EKS/Kubernetes, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, ALB, and EC2, with an understanding of high availability across availability zones.
- Hands-on CI/CD and GitOps experience with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Docker, Helm/Kustomize, and automated unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Experience building dashboards and alerting with Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, and ELK/Obstack, supported by SLOs, SLIs, and production readiness reviews.
- Familiarity with PagerDuty for incident management.
- Familiarity with enterprise identity and access management, including PingSSO/OIDC, SailPoint, AWS Secrets Manager, and secure coding in regulated environments.
- Experience consuming event streams, cloud-native data formats such as S3/Iceberg, and NoSQL stores such as DynamoDB.
- Strong architectural thinking, including codebase modularization, API contract design, integration patterns, and pragmatic trade-offs between speed and sustainability.
- Ability to lead without authority through code reviews, technical mentoring, and setting engineering standards.
- Curiosity, lifelong learning, comfort with ambiguity, experience scaling systems from early stage to enterprise, and passion for applying AI to risk management and governance.
