Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, debug, and improve secure, high-quality production software.
- Create and maintain architecture and design artifacts while ensuring security, resiliency, performance, and scalability requirements are implemented.
- Lead adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering practices for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Apply software development lifecycle automation and operational practices to improve software stability and eliminate recurring issues.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets, create visualizations and reports, and use operational insights to improve applications and architecture.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to software engineering communities, and promote effective engineering practices.
- Lead technical evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java or J2EE, and practical experience with database querying languages.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle, including application resiliency, security, and automation practices.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development and establishing validation standards for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, and compliant adoption in engineering workflows.
- Knowledge of at least one technical discipline such as cloud, AI/ML, or mobile technology.
- Practical cloud-native experience and in-depth knowledge of financial services industry technology and IT systems.
- Preferred familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies.
