Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction and architectural evolution of strategic Lending, Pricing and ESG platforms.
- Design scalable, secure and resilient APIs, backend platforms and enterprise integrations.
- Lead modernisation initiatives that simplify legacy technology and improve operational resilience.
- Champion AI-enabled software development, DevSecOps, observability, quality engineering and automation.
- Partner with Institutional Banking, Product, Architecture, Risk and business stakeholders to deliver customer and business outcomes.
- Build relationships with suppliers of core platforms, including LoanIQ and DPX.
- Mentor senior engineers and uplift engineering capability across multiple teams.
Requirements
- Software engineering experience with technical leadership and coaching across multiple teams and strategic platforms.
- Experience delivering technology for lending, capital markets or financial-services platforms.
- Experience modernising and integrating enterprise vendor platforms, including COTS and SaaS solutions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration, operational resilience and regulated environments.
- Experience with LoanIQ or comparable enterprise lending platforms is highly regarded.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience across relevant Java, Spring Boot, Python, Next.js, React, AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Snowflake, event streaming, DevOps, observability and AI technologies is advantageous.
