Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction and architectural evolution of strategic Lending, Pricing and ESG platforms.
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient backend services, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
- Lead modernisation initiatives for legacy technology and improve operational resilience.
- Partner with Institutional Banking, Product, Architecture, Risk, business stakeholders, and core-platform suppliers.
- Champion AI-enabled software development, DevSecOps, observability, quality engineering, and automation.
- Mentor senior engineers and uplift engineering capability across multiple teams.
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering with technical leadership and coaching across multiple teams and strategic platforms.
- Experience delivering technology for lending, capital markets, or financial services platforms.
- Experience modernising and integrating enterprise vendor platforms, including COTS and SaaS solutions.
- Experience with LoanIQ or comparable enterprise lending platforms is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration, operational resilience, and regulated environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience across several listed technologies, including Java, Spring Boot, Python, Next.js, React, AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Snowflake, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Snyk, Grafana, Prometheus, or PagerDuty.
- Interest in mentoring engineers and adopting AI-enabled engineering practices.
